Today’s guest post is from Stephanie Pinto, owner of Orangeburg Fit Body Boot Camp in Orangeburg, New York. She is going to discuss visualization, how you can bring your dreams into focus, and why believing in those dreams is essential for success.
When I was an elementary school teacher, one of my favorite reading lessons to teach was on the topic of visualization. It was an important lesson for the students to learn; it was so much fun watching them close their eyes, listen intently to a descriptive reading passage, and then discuss and illustrate what they “saw” in their mind’s eye.
Think about that…one’s ability to imagine pictures from written words is what creates a sense of reality out of those words. A student’s prior knowledge (or lack thereof) will also determine the meanings that they create for these words.
And that leads me to what I want to talk to you about today…the power of visualization!

Today’s post is a guest post from one of our very own Fit Body Boot Camp owners—Kelly Sullens! Kelly is the owner of Arrowhead Fit Body Boot Camp in Glendale, Arizona, and she’s going to tell you all about the importance of stretching.
Has anyone ever reminded you that before and after working out, you should always stretch out?
Well, prior to becoming a fitness professional, the first thing that came to my mind when I thought of stretching was yoga. I mean, stretching and yoga go hand-in-hand like peanut butter and jelly, right?
But what about boot camp, cardio, walking, or other types of physical activity? It turns out, stretching is just as important for all those activities too.
So, what is the best way to go about stretching to help warm the body up and keep your muscles loose? Let’s talk about it!
Ginger. Sriracha. Chicken. What a delicious trio.
Now imagine these three heaven-sent ingredients mixed inside a nice lettuce wrap…
Sounds like the perfect combo to me.
Not only do you get a nice protein boost from the chicken, but you also skimp out on the extra carbs that a tortilla or bread would add to this meal.
Plus, sriracha and ginger add two high-flying kicks to these wraps, making them nothing short of flavorful.
You ready to see how these awesome sriracha concoctions are made? Let’s dive into this week’s recipe: ginger sriracha chicken lettuce wraps.
