We’re back with part 2 of our FAQ series!
If you missed the first part of our FAQ, you’re going to want to check out this link.
Our goal is to help 20% of the population engage in a healthy lifestyle by 2020. We want to equip as many people as possible with the tools to lead fit and healthy lifestyles.
You’ll find that more often than not, people are severely uninformed when it comes to fitness. Dieting and exercise can seem daunting when you lack both knowledge and support.
We want to show you that you CAN eat healthy and get toned. It ISN’T impossible to work towards that dream body of yours. That’s why we’ll be pouring through a few more common questions and concerns that stop people from getting in the best shape of their lives. If you have more, please leave them in the comments!
Don’t you just love cheese?
I mean, you can melt it into a delicious filler for a sandwich or burger. You can also throw it onto crackers or with veggies to add some sharpness to a snack. With a wide range of cheeses to choose from, the flavors you can come up with are nearly endless.
The only drawback to cheese is that it piles on excessive fat and calories. Anyone that’s dieted before knows that those those are two absolute diet killers.
I’ve got great news for you: there are plenty of meals that are cheesy and healthy! It’s not a culinary sin to indulge in cheese; you just have to do it the right way.
Today, we’re going to dive into a few cheese recipes that might just flip your world upside down. Hope we make your life a little “cheddar” (that was about as cheesy as these meals)!
Imagine an hourglass completely filled on one side. Picture that hourglass tilting a full 180°, forcing the sand on one side to slowly pile up on the other.
You’ll slowly start to see a mountain of sand form.
Now imagine that the sand was all the sugar America’s consumed this past year. Boy, that mound of sugar would probably be higher than Mt. Everest!
We love sugar. Its sweetness can comfort us when we’re down; it can also add a nice cherry on top (pun intended) after a hearty meal.
Unfortunately, sugars are bad for the body. They tack on calories that people don’t need if they’re trying to stay in shape. That’s why so many diets abstain from as much sugar as possible.
Or so they think…
There are a lot of foods that people love to tout as “healthy” that are actually stuffed with sugar. You might know sugar by one of its aliases: high fructose corn syrup, corn syrup, corn sweetener, honey, molasses, glucose, sucrose, dextrose, or maltose.
Here’s a quick guide to some foods you’ll think twice about when it comes to sugar.
I know, you probably read that title and wondered whether we were joking or not.
You can indulge in a little chocolate brownie — as long as you make it the right way.
We’ve made a couple of little tweaks to this traditional dessert, including making them bite-sized so you feel less obligated to eat huge chunks.
So dig up the mini muffin pan and have some fun making some healthy brownies your taste buds will die for.
“I really want to work out, but…”
[Fill in the blank]
I’m sure you’ve heard that phrase from someone you know. Maybe it was that co-worker who made a New Year’s resolution to lose weight, but has only been to the gym three times all year. It could be your spouse that’s had the same fitness goals for years, yet has done little to get in shape.
Truth is, most people are woefully under-resourced and uninformed when they first start their journey to getting fit. They poke around the Internet, scour for whatever fitness tips and advice they can find, then hit the gym and try what they found online.
Not surprisingly, this rarely works; most people work out too little or too much, choose the wrong workouts, and have no accountability to keep them exercising for the long haul. If someone has an upset stomach, he or she doesn’t just run to the drug store, file into the antacid aisle, and pick the bottle that looks the prettiest.
Of course, there’s a dead-end for the uninformed gym-aspirer. These non-equipped workout hopefuls end up getting none of their goals accomplished because they don’t have the information they need to start.
BUT that’s why we here at Fit Body are here to help! This blog will go through a few of those common questions new fitness-goers have when it comes to working out. Hopefully we’ll bring you the answers you need to jump straight into a healthier lifestyle!
